Hello! I'm Zuzana.
I'm a native Slovak translator working with English (US and UK) and Portuguese (PT and BR).
Having lived in both English- and Portuguese-speaking countries, I am not only proficient in their respective languages, but also have a deep understanding of their cultures.
My main specialisms are two of my great passions: audiovisual translation and EU matters & international affairs (environmental issues, regional development and humanitarian aid as well as general history and politics).

TRANSLATION
All translations are done using CAT (computer-aided translation) tools which allow me to build translation memories and glossaries, maintain original formatting, and, ultimately, ensure consistency and quality control. All translations are also proofread by a native speaker and localized for your market!
SUBTITLING
Do you need subtitles or closed captions for your video? Then you should know that subtitling is more than just a translation. It can include anything from transcribing, if the original script is not provided, creating a template, spotting, and much more. The good news is I can handle all of these and deliver your subtitles in all kinds of formats.
Consulting
Have you come across a linguistic issue? After 6 (endless) years of studying an indigenous language of Timor-Leste, I have a good theoretical and practical grasp of all language levels: phonology, morphology, lexicon and syntax. I enjoy working on NLP projects and I'm not worried that technology will replace me one day.
